22nd National and 2nd International Conference of the IAFO
The 22nd Annual National and 2nd International Conference of The IAFO was organized by the National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, from 12th to 14th September 2025.
21st National Conference of the IAFO
The 21st Annual National Conference of The IAFO was organized by Tagore Dental College and Hospital, Chennai from 22nd to 24th September 2024.
20th National Conference of the IAFO
The 20th Annual National Conference of The IAFO was organized by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology, ITS CDSR, Muradnagar, Ghaziabad on 23rd and 24th September 2023. Souvenir of the conference is available HERE.
19th National Conference of the IAFO
The 19th National Conference of the IAFO was conducted virtually by G.Pulla Reddy Dental College and Hospital, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, on the 10th and 11th of September 2022. Souvenir of the conference is available HERE.
18th National Conference of the IAFO
On 25-26 September the 18th National Conference of the IAFO was organised virtually by the Department of Forensic Medicine, GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai. The conference was attended by over 630 registered delegates with about 250 scientific paper and poster presentations. 16th National & 1st International Conference of the IAFO, Goa, 29-30 September 2018
On 29-30 September 2018, the 16th National and 1st International Conference of the IAFO was held at Goa. The conference had received IOFOS patronage and was attended by over 370 delegates from across the country and abroad. One of the highlights of the scientific event was the J.G. Kannappan Oration delivered by Prof. Vilma Pinchi of Italy, the Immediate Past President of the IOFOS and currently Editor of the Journal of Forensic Odonto-stomatology — the official publication of the IOFOS. In addition, she organised a pre-conference workshop on age estimation. Two other workshops on forensic odontology were also organised by renowned faculty on the sidelines of the conference. Guest lectures were also delivered by Dr. Phrabhakaran Nambiar and Dr. Jayakumar Jayaraman of Malaysia, Dr. Samarika Dahal of Nepal, and Dr. Ajit D. Dinkar and Dr. Ashith B. Acharya of India.
1st National Workshop on Forensic Odontology, Nagpur, 30-31 July 2011
The 1st IAFO National Workshop was conducted on 30-31 July 2011 in VSPM’s Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur. Dr. Bharat Shetty (currently, Vice President of the Dental Council of India) served as Chief Guest at its inauguration. The hands-on programme, which was on dental age estimation with Dr. Ashith B. Acharya as principal resource faculty, was attended by over 30 delegates who greatly appreciated the quality of training imparted.
1st National Conference of the IAFO, Chennai, 29 December 2002
The 1st IAFO National Conference was conducted on 29 December 2002 at the auditorium of Madras ENT Research Foundation, Pvt. Ltd. at Mylapore, Chennai. The Chief Guest of the programme was Prof. C. Damodaran, Director, Forensic Sciences Department, Chennai, and the guest of honour was Dr. Mohan Kameswaran, Chairman, Madras ENT Research Foundation Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Ashith B. Acharya delivered the keynote lecture.
